Whats the difference between a chimpanzee and a orangutan?

and in your opinion which ones cooler and which one should i study.|||Orangutans a larger and more human-like in my opinion. However, chimps seem to have more personality when I see them at the zoo. They are more energetic and always swinging. I would study the chimp if it were me.|||I work at the Kansas City Zoo (Security, nothing to do with animals) but i got to hold both chimps and orangutan babies... i suggest studying the orangutan. I loved the baby orangutan. She was much more in tune with the world around her.

Also, check out this link:

http://www.centerforgreatapes.org/great-鈥?/a>|||Well they're on different branches of the ape family tree, and chimps are much more closely related to us. Chimps are African Apes, while Orang Utans are Asian.

Both are fascinating and both, unfortunately, are endangered (though I think Orangs are more so).

My favourite is the Orang Utan because they're gentler (and they're ginger).

Good luck.|||http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimpanzee

Chimps are cooler - much closer to humans on the ape tree. Much smarter.|||Orangutans mostly stay in trees and swing on vines and chimpanzees usually walk with their knuckles in fount of them and are more 'ground' monkeys/apes.

Chimpanzees are cooler and are more energetic and fun (their cuter too). ;)|||Chimps have black hair/fur and are smaller than orangutans with orange hair/fur. Also, orangutans have massive strength despite their "fat" looking bodies.|||is the orangutan better at ice skating? the chimpanzee should be studied but only if you're not enjoying it too much!! ;-)|||Chimps are more intelligent, and they are knuckle walkers. Orangutans do not walk on their knuckles.
