If Chimpanzee's are the second most intelligent living thing on earth, then how far off are they from humans?

In terms of intelligence.

And also, how far off in terms of intelligence are Dolphins from humans as they are supposed to be the third most intelligent.|||There DNA is 98.6% identical to ares, thus why we use them for tests. We can use them for blood transfusions ( though this is apparently morally wrong, though imo **** the chimps.) even. So overall there not much different at all, but obviously that 1% difference is enough to make us the was we and them the way we are. Im no scientist but id assume there very smart. Smart as a 5 year old basically. There was also a test of memory compared to a human and a chimp and the chimps beat the humans sometimes also, each with different tests. So there very very smart, they just need lots and lots care and an expert teacher to make them standout.|||I don't know if they are. Dolphins, elephants, pigs, rats, and other apes may possibly be closer.

Chimps have an average brain size of 300 ml. Humans of 1400 ml. So yeah...

Brain size is not a perfect measure, and the closer related the animal, the better you can compare their intelligence by brain size.

For example: the biggest brain in existence is owned by the Sperm Whale: a whopping 7000 ml. Dolphins are at 1600 ml, much less, but still bigger than human brains.|||According to my biology notes, there is approximately a 98% similiarity between the DNA of humans and chimpanzees (also based on DNA-DNA hybridisation). Dolphins are also quite close ( i don't know the exact percentage) but they are not near as close as chimpanzees are.|||Dolphins are as intel. as humans. ask S.E.T.I.
