Do Chimpanzee male fathers care about the baby their wife (female chimpanzee) gives birth to?

or does the male chimpanzee father have no connection to the children his female chimpanzee wife gives birth to.|||Male chimps typically play no particular role in parenting beyond having sex. Mind you, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of some observations of exceptions to that, but I don't happen to know of any.|||Males do not participate in raising of young other than to kill those that are not theirs.

To Elaine here - some lesser primates have the "concept" - in marmosets father and mother are forming a pair of caring parents (not married in church of course but their bonds can be even stronger than in most humans)|||NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's ridiculous! CAN'T=They have ZERO concept.

Animals do NOT have wives=marriage is a human LEGAL contract.

%26amp;chimps are NOT very "similar".|||No
